Breaking the Silence

I don't know what it was, probably my month in Paris, but I just didn't realise that the missing book was posted by me. ME! I tell you this makes it far worse a feeling, though probably not as bad as the owners of the missing books. I'm off to the post office to follow up today.

I'm opening this up to suggestions. What if anything needs to be done?

This is a slow group (me included sorry). It's a big group, although it has shrunk quite a lot. I find it's confusing because of the shrinking. Here is my dreaded chart again. Can you please comment here to say whose book(s) you have so I can put a black "x" in the spot. This will help us to keep track of where our books are. THANK YOU!
Post edited 6 Dec to show Lisa has received Pamela's moly.

I lost track of my book long ago. And I don’t have any of your books for a long time.

I believe Sam has my moly. I haven't had one for ages either. (The only moleskine in my possession is for MolyX3)... I hope that moleskine isn't lost, it is beautiful. And any lost moly is very sad.

Emma, I do have yours! I've had it for a while, but was waiting for some books to get moving before I worked on it and sent it. Your book is the only one I have at the moment.

No joy at the post office. They gave me a form to fill in which is mainly for monetary compensation. I will fill it in, but I don't hold much hope as I've filled in this form once before and remember what happened.

Szaza says there is a chance it may be held up with customs her end. I don't remember what I sent it in. I'm pretty sure it wasn't a box.

I just recieved Pamela's wonderful book today!! Yea, thanks Samantha!!!

This makes me happy— glad you got it, Lisa!

Jan, I hope it'll surface. Once a package I sent to Istanbul took three months to get there, no idea why. Sometimes I get things in a week, sometimes much longer. So I have all my fingers and toes crossed.

Three months!
Sounds like Italian post, the craziest postal service in the world.
I am pleased you have my moly!

I haven't received a book for long time ago, last spring I think. I'd already like to see one of yours on my table :)

Thanks Lisa. I've updated the chart to show you now have Pamela's moly.

I still have Samantha's moleskine, I'm waiting for Yvonne to confirm that she's ready for it.

Has Yvonne done any work in the two that were sent her from Tau? that was a long time ago...... perhaps you should skip her and post it on to the next person? which would be Cathy, but as Cathy has Lisa's, perhaps post it to me again....it would be great to keep things moving rather than hold on to books that have been worked in, don't you think?....

Sorry I've been so long with Lisa's moly - I have one more page to complete and then I can send, (to who would like it?) hope to asap... thanks and best wishes Cathy

it looks like Yvonne has Josh's and Katya's books.........

Ok. It looks like we need to figure out who's still in this and who cannot continue, before any books get sent on. I would hate for more books to get held up with someone who is either overwhelmed or cannot continue. It's ok to drop out or back down— life takes precedence. If anyone needs time out, please say so— it's ok, and far better to communicate this than to hold up the group.

I am still in this.

Thanks and my best wishes.

I completely agree with Sam. Best to say so than think we are all going to be grumpy. It is ok, life comes down on our heads sometimes. I'm still in too.

I'm still in too and I'm happy to purchase and start a new book for Lynne too (seeing as I was the one who posted it).

I'm still in too, waiting for some book to do. I don't know if the order of sendings have change

I'm almost ready to post to Samantha and I'm wondering if it might be better if I don't seeing as she has had trouble with mail from Australia once before as well. What if I send to someone who knows there isn't a problem with shipping to Turkey from their country? Just a suggestion. I believe it would cost me $70 to send it to Turkey insured and with tracking. So it looks like ordinary mail is my only affordable option sorry.

I think I should drop out so no more books go missing. Apparently some books were mailed to me for the portrait exchange that I never got too.

Samantha, dont drop out. Youre one of the most productive amongst us and a vocal member, youre helping to keep the group alive. A lot of groups are stumbling, we gotta fight through, right?

I have Yvonne's and cathy's molys. Sorry with travel, volleyball comps, art shows, sickness and now christmas coming up. I haven't had time to have a look at them or do anything in them. I would still like to continue in the exchange, but if I'm being to slow and everyone wants me to stop then just say so. I can also post one of them on to someone if they would like it. :)

oh dear.....that makes 8 books accounted for( inc my lot one )....there are others somewhere, there are still supposed to be 11 of us active in the group.......

Jan please dont buy me another book, I will have to accept it is lost and that is all there is to it........if it should surface in a month or two then it will be fine.
